I completed my medical education in 1989 at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine.
Between 1993 and 1996, I completed my training in Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. Later that year, I began my academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. I became an Associate Professor in 2003 and received the title of Professor in 2009.
I initiated studies in Gaziantepli Estetik, Plastik Cerrahi, Yanık ve Rekonstrüksiyon Derneği (GETAT) in 2000, focusing on hirudotherapy applications in cases involving reconstructive surgery applied with free flaps and amputations. In addition to biotherapy research, I conducted numerous projects, thesis advising, and scientific research on the antimicrobial properties of herbal extracts. All these works have been published in reputable scientific journals. I continue my studies and scientific projects in the field of GETAT and integrative medicine.
In 2011, I participated as an invited researcher in projects at St. George’s Medical School Hospital, Infection and Immunity Research Institute at the University of London, UK, focusing on the herbal treatment of tropical infections.
In 2012, I was appointed as a Professor at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, where I continued my work. In 2013, I was appointed as the Director of Istanbul University Health Sciences Institute and served on the Istanbul University Senate for three years.
From 2017 to 2019, I transitioned to the private sector and served as the founding member and responsible physician of the GETAT Unit at a hospital in Istanbul. Later, I worked as the Medical Director at a private center in Etiler, Istanbul, providing similar services in the field.
From 2019 to 2021, I continued my academic career at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine, conducting ongoing research.
In September 2021, I retired from the university and opened my private clinic to offer services in the fields of Inegrative Medicine. Within the framework of individualized medicine, I apply therapies such as Ozone Therapy, Acupuncture, Phytotherapy, Hypnosis, Mesotherapy, Hirudotherapy, Cupping Therapy, and intravenous support treatments (Glutathione, Vitamin C, Alpha-Lipoic Acid, etc.) to my patients.
